Perhaps make the most of the 'Venice of Bavaria', set at the meeting point of three rivers – the Danube, Inn and Ilz by joining an optional tour. Stroll along its charming streets and riverside promenades, and on to Cathedral Square, dominated by St Stephen's Cathedral – home to Europe's largest organ. Filia Rheni ll departs late this afternoon and cruises overnight to Regensberg.
Regensburg to Kelheim - You have a few hours to discover the historic city of Regensberg, once the capital of Bavaria, and hence home to some fine buildings. In the Old Town or Aldstadt you can admire the Old Stone Bridge across the Danube, part of the Roman walls and the Palace of Thurn and Taxis. Other highights include St Peter’s Cathedral and the St Emmeram monastery. Alternatively, you may wish to join an excursion to Weltenburg Abbey for a short talk on this masterpiece of German baroque architecture, and a boat trip through the Danube Gorge. Excursion participants rejoin Filia Rheni ll in Kelheim during a brief stop early this evening. You then cruise overnight to Roth.
Roth to Prague - Arrive in Roth and disembark for your coach transfer to Prague. You'll stay at the locally rated 5-star Corinthia Hotel Prague (4Q) for the next three nights.
