Day1

CHIANG RAI, On arrival in Chiang Rai, transfer to your hotel and meet your small group of fellow adventurers and tour leader for a welcome drink. HOTEL: La Luna Hotel & Resort

Day2-3

PAKBENG & KAMU LODGE

Rise early and cross the border into Laos to board a private wooden barge for your journey down the tranquil Mekong, past pristine landscapes and stunning scenery. Stay overnight in the old trading outpost of Pakbeng and explore its market, then continue to the comfortable Kamu Lodge, retiring for the night in your atmospheric tent lodgings. Absorb Lao culture, with an opportunity to meet the locals and try your hand at traditional activities such as rice planting and fishing. HOTELS: Phetsokxai, Kamu Lodge

Day4-6

LUANG PRABANG

Continue by boat along the Mekong, stopping at Pak Ou Caves to see the hundreds of Buddha statues inside, then on to beautiful Luang Prabang. The next morning, embark on a walking tour of the town's fascinating sites, including the Royal Palace and Wat Mai. Sample a local breakfast of noodle soup, and enjoy a game of petanque before sunset mocktails at a riverside temple. Rise early to witness the breathtaking ancient ritual of local monks collecting alms at dawn, and learn how to make sticky rice and grilled chicken for a picnic at scenic Kuang Si Falls. Have ample free time for exploring beguiling Luang Prabang's quaint laneways, architecture, and boutiques. HOTEL: Sala Prabang

Day7-10

PLAIN OF JARS & VANG VIENG

A drive through the remote mountains of Northern Laos brings you to the Plain of Jars, a mysterious archaeological site steeped in legend. Tour the jar sites, then drive to idyllic Vang Vieng, home to stunning limestone karst scenery. Embark on a gentle kayaking trip and discover a nearby cave, returning as the sun sets over the tranquil Nam Song river. HOTELS: Vansana Plain of Jars, Thavonsouk Bungalows

Day11-13

VIENTIANE

Continue to the rapidly developing capital, Vientiane. Visit Wat Sisaket and Haw Phra Kaew, and partake in a traditional Baci ceremony in a local home. Visit the interactive COPE visitor centre for a valuable insight into the lasting after-effects of the tragic 'Secret War'. V. Learn about the issue of disability prevalence, with a visit to an inspiring women's support centre, before making stops at sparkling That Luang temple, and the grand Patuxai monument. Enjoy a farewell dinner on your final night, then have some free time in the morning before your departure transfer. HOTEL: Mandala Boutique Hotel

Example itinerary...

This is an example itinerary for a couple..

Day 1 -

International flight outbound to San Francisco, with meet and greet service and transfer to hotel Kensington Park. Remainder of day free to relax.

Day 2 -

A day to explore the city. Visit the vibrant Pier 39, take a tram through the city, cycle across Golden Gate Bridge, take time-out to taste freshly caught seafood on Fisherman’s Wharf.

Day 3 -

Pre-paid and booked ferry to the world famous Alcatraz Island, including self-guided audio tour. Afternoon free-time.

Day 4 -

Hire car delivered to hotel, representative provides briefing of the features of the vehicle. Drive south to hotel Abrego (approx. 2 hours). On arrival the vehicle will be parked for you in a secure car park and the remainder of the day free for you to explore.

Day 5 -

In the morning head to the harbour for a whale watching day at sea and the opportunity to experience a variety of marine wildlife.

Day 6 -

Depart Monterey and drive south along the Pacific Coast Highway, a spectacular drive along cliff edges and passing small towns to arrive at Pismo Beach. Spend the afternoon relaxing on Pismo Beach or resting by the pool.

Day 7 -

Drive south to Los Angeles. Break your journey up by stopping in the Spanish mission town of Santa Barbara, or visit one of the many award winning vineyards. After arrival at hotel Omni Los Angeles the rest of the day is free for exploring and enjoyment.

Day 8 -

Prepare your camera for the city tour! Your guide will meet you at the hotel and you will visit some of the most legendary sites of the city including Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica.

Day 9 -

LA is home of the movie world - spend the day at the film industries Universal Studios.

Day 10 -

Grasp an opportunity for some last minute shopping or sightseeing in the morning. Then drive to the airport late afternoon to return your hire car and board your flight home.

Day 11 -

Arrive home.

Day 1 -

Arrive in Sydney, stay 2 nights in one of the world’s most iconic cities. Private meet and greet with transfer from the airport to 3-star hotel in the city.

Day 2 -

A day to explore Sydney; The Queen Victoria Building, Darling Harbour, The Opera House, The Rocks and much more.

Day 3 -

Fly from Sydney to Cairns and either pick up a rental car or travel by coach transfer to the town of Port Douglas (includes private transfer from hotel to airport, domestic flight with private transfer to 3-star apartment in Port Douglas).

Day 4 -

Pick up from hotel to Great Barrier Reef. An opportunity to go snorkelling and diving among one of the world’s most famous reefs, and see unique marine life. Recommended by Calypso Reef Cruises (can be pre-booked).

Day 5 -

Tour of Daintree Forest National Park, where you can experience unique and tropical bush wildlife with nature guides, 4x4 truck tours and rowing river tours.

Day 6 -

Fly from Cairns to Ayers Rock to experience the overwhelming power of nature in the real outback of Australia. See skyscrapers made of rock that dominate the skyline, and the unique population of animals, birds and reptiles (Includes domestic flight and 2 nights 3-star hotel accommodation).

Day 7 -

Join a day tour to Uluru and Olgas also known as Alice Springs. Learn about the history, geology, flora and fauna with an opportunity to take some spectacular pictures of the colours and formations of the stunning national park (Includes tour, hotel pick up).

Day 8 -

Enjoy a free day exploring the sights in beaufiful Melbourne, taste the food of the city and relish an opportunity for some shopping. Domestic flight to Melbourne with transfers to and from hotel and airport.

This is an example itinerary for a couple from Scotland.

Day 1 -

Flight from Glasgow to London City Airport, rail transfer into the city centre. Spend the afternoon relaxing or take a leisurely walk through the streets of the city, then in the evening there is a dinner reservation in a traditional pub with local brewed beer.

Day 2 -

Visit the capital of London’s most famous sights, and see Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, The Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace. Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure. There are many West End shows available which can be booked upon request (please visit London, Hotels & Events to view shows currently available).

Day 3 -

Travel by Eurostar from London St. Pancreas Station to Paris. On arrival in this beautiful city, there is a coach transfer to take you to one of the most famous structures in the world, the Eiffel Tower. Admire the skyline of Paris in all its glory, then enjoy a free evening to explore and dine in one of the many cafes or restaurants that Paris is famous for.

Day 4 -

View the great sights of this magnificent city including Place de la Concorde, the Champs Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe (includes a english speaking guides). During the afternoon you can explore other parts of the city, taste some French cuisine in a typical brasserie and perhaps enjoy a cabaret show at a famous Parisian venue in the evening.

Day 5 -

A free day to explore the city, enjoy visiting museums, galleries, parks or perhaps a river cruise. If required we can pre-book any specific requirements in advance of your travels.

Day 6 -

Board the TGV Mediterranée at Paris' Gare de Lyon. Admire stunning scenery as you journey through the hills of Burgundy, along the Rhône Valley, amidst the villages of Provence and the Luberon to Nice on the French Riviera. On arrival experience a private tour of the Promenade des Anglais, Place Massena and the old town, then enjoy a prepaid dinner for a meal of Niçois specialities in a local restaurant. In the evening head to the famous Monte Carlo for an opportunity to have a bet at the iconic Monte Carlo Casino.

Day 7 -

A free day to relax, enjoy the beach, explore the elegant town of Nice or an opportunity to take a morning excursion to Cannes, one of the country's most glamorous destinations and home of the Cannes Film Festival. After some free time in Cannes, consider an optional experience to Eze, or drive along the Riviera corniches with spectacular views.

Day 8 -

Cross the Veneto by private mini bus, a scenic drive east taking you along the rugged coastline. Enter the magical city of Venice, Italy - Queen of the Adriatic and your home for the next three nights.

Day 9 -

A morning Cruise by private launch to St. Mark’s Square. See the Bridge of Sighs, the Doge’s Palace and St Mark’s Basilica and take an opportunity to try to master the Venetian tradition of glass making on Guidecca Island. Then relax and discover the delights of this special city.

Day 10 -

Enjoy the City of Venice with a walking tour from St. Mark's Square to the ancient food market near Rialto Bridge (includes english speaking guide). Experience another dimension of this unique city by taking an excursion to the island of Burano for a delicious meal, or take the opportunity to explore the narrow ‘Calle' or shop on the Rialto Bridge.

Day 11 -

From Venice admire beautiful scenery whilst travelling by high speed train to the city of Florence. Experience the magnificent city with a walking tour (supported by a english speaking guide). View the Ponte Vecchio Bridge, a spectacular feat of engineering dating from the middle ages. Enjoy panoramic views across the city from Piazzale Michelangelo. Marvel the statues and palaces on Piazza della Signoria, the multi coloured marble Duomo and Giotto's spectacular Bell Tower. In the evening indulge with a meal of local specialities in a Florentine trattoria, then check into your 4-star hotel.

Day 12 -

A free day to experience and enjoy Florence which offers galleries, museums, shops and take an opportunity to taste the fresh cuisine and fine wines which Italy is famous for.

Day 13 -

View the peaceful countryside on a high speed train to the Eternal City in Rome. Tour guide will then take you to your hotel and afterwards embark on an extensive sightseeing tour to view ancient sites of Rome including Circus Maximus where chariot racing was held. Enjoy a guided visit inside the Colosseum and learn about gladiatorial contests in ancient Rome. Visit St. Peter's Basilica and see Michelangelo's Pietà.

Day 14 -

Savour the final day of your holiday with free time to experience Rome in your own way, then enjoy a pre-booked dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 15 -

Depart the hotel with private transfer to the airport and return flight to the UK.
